e6 designed and implemented the IoT architecture, edge computing layer and cloud integration for Tungsram PowerGrow — a smart agriculture platform that brings precision lighting control, environmental sensing and data-driven growing to vertical farms.
Vertical farming demands precise control over lighting spectra, nutrient delivery and environmental conditions. Tungsram needed an end-to-end platform that connects DALI-enabled grow lights and environmental sensors to a cloud backend — enabling remote management, recipe-based light scheduling and real-time analytics across multiple grow rooms.
At the farming site, e6 built the edge computing layer that runs on embedded Linux hardware. The system integrates:
The PowerGrow IoT Cloud collects sensor telemetry from all connected farms — providing real-time dashboards, historical data analytics, centralized fixture and recipe management, and SMS/email/push notifications for critical events.
Growers define light recipes — multi-step schedules that control spectrum intensity and timing for each growth phase. Recipes can be assigned to fixture groups, overridden for experiments, and managed remotely via the web portal or mobile application.
Secure API layer for connecting with industry-standard agriculture systems — Priva, Grodan, 30MHz and other greenhouse management platforms.
